Best Summer Makeup Tips
Hey I am going to go over some summer makeup tips.
Summer means hotter weather, humidity, and longer days spent outside. It's a great opportunity to try a freer approach to your make-up by making a few adjustments to your usual routine.
Incorporate Primer in Your Makeup Routine
For summer, it's best to start at the very beginning, with a primer. Some people will use primer throughout the year, if this is not part of your routine -this lightweight base will fill-in lines and creases, while helping your make-up last longer.
With the rest of your make-up, lighter is better from colors to the amount you wear.
Tinted Moisturizers can Replace Foundation
Start by swapping your typical foundation for tinted moisturizer. Wearing a sheer tinted moisturizer in place of a foundation will greatly reduce the overall make-up being worn and prevent that oily feeling that can build up in hot weather. While it may not create the completely finished look of a foundation, it will add a bit of color to your face while letting your skin shine through. Also, many tinted moisturizers have some amount of sun protection that will help fight against the summer sun.
If you need additional coverage, try adding a powder foundation in just the troublesome areas.
Wear Tinted Balms Instead of Lipstick
Similarly, instead of heavy, saturated lipstick, try tinted lip balm. Not only will this take weight out of your overall style, but the lighter colors are more in line with the summer look.
If you do want to use a heavier lipstick, be sure to set it with powder before heading out.
Finish Summer Makeup Routine with Bronzer
Now that we have taken some of the weight out, let's add something in with a bronzer.
Bronzer can make your face pop, bringing out your eyes and making your teeth look a little whiter. As with every other tip, less is more. Keep from going overboard by applying this to only the high points-forehead, cheekbones, chin, and nose. Also, make sure to give it a balanced look by brushing it on your earlobes and neck.
Finally, when you're out and about, bring along blotting papers to take care of your T-zone. When you use one, follow up with a pressed power that contains some luminescence
